Boarding the Halcyon: A Jedi’s Hidden Mission — A Personal Journey

There are moments in life that stay with you forever. For me, one of those moments was stepping aboard Disney’s Star Wars: Galactic Starcruiser—the Halcyon. It wasn’t just a theme park experience. It was a story we got to live. We were part of the galaxy far, far away, surrounded by friends, adventure, and that unmistakable sense of wonder that Star Wars has always given us.

The Halcyon became something special for our community. It was a place where we could be heroes, smugglers, Resistance fighters—or just dreamers chasing starlight. For me personally, it was more than that. It was the last time I saw my best friend and brother-from-another-mother, Scott, before he passed away. We laughed, we roleplayed, we shared stories deep into the night. I’ll never forget the joy on his face when the ship jumped to hyperspace for the first time. That moment is forever burned into my heart.

So when we started work on Boarding the Halcyon: A Jedi’s Hidden Mission, it wasn’t just about making another Star Wars fan film—it was about honoring that feeling, that adventure, and the people we shared it with. This project is my way of keeping the spirit of the Halcyon alive, for Scott, for all of us who believed in the magic, and for everyone who wishes they could board her one more time.

In this first episode, a lone Jedi arrives at Chandrila Spaceport to make a secret pickup before boarding the Halcyon for its 275th anniversary voyage. What’s inside the case—and why does the Resistance insist it must reach Batuu at any cost? That’s the mystery that sets everything in motion.

We created the film in the Lucasfilm 3D animation style using modern AI tools like Sora 2, Veo 3.1, and ElevenLabs. It’s a love letter to the storytellers who built the world we fell in love with—and to the fans who kept its heart beating long after the lights dimmed.

If you ever walked the Halcyon’s halls, shared a toast in the Sublight Lounge, or stood on the bridge as the stars streaked by, this film is for you. Drop a comment with your favorite Halcyon memory—or take a guess at what’s inside the case.

This is for you, Scott.
And for everyone who still believes in the Force.

Ta’ bu e tay.
